ABOUT US

We bought our first Labrador a black bitch
in 1974 and she carried a lot of the old English lines with some working stock
in the pedigree. From her we bred our first litter in 1976 and although none
were suitable for showing they all went to good pet homes. She went on to be a
loving pet to us and our children but we realized she was not to be our show
dog. Then in 1977 we purchased our first show bitch from the Rocheby kennel. She
was called Rocheby Yorkshire Lass and we had some fun showing her. Our next
purchase from the Rocheby kennel was our foundation bitch Rocheby Fan Dance at
Waterbrook and all our current show dogs go back to her. We have had some very
good dogs out of this line, namely Champion Waterbrook Bugsy Malone,
Morning Light over Waterbrook, Waterbrook Morning Breeze, Waterbrook Morning
Honey, then the triplets Waterbrook Play It Again JW, Sweet Charity and Sweet
Music, also our black bitch Waterbrook Touch of Love. We have just started
showing another Rocheby, a yellow bitch Rocheby Breath Of Fresh Air Among Waterbrook. Some of our stock has also been exported overseas, some as pets and
some for Guide Dogs for the Blind. We have also had a bitch who went to Germany
and won 2C.C's, a dog Waterbrook Wild Smoke who as been made up to a Swedish
Champion. We have also over the years shown Rough Collies, Border Terriers,
Japanese Akitas and Japanese Shiba Inu's but have always come back to our
Labradors.

Margaret awarded her first set of CC's in
2004, Karl awarded his first set of CC's in 2006 and Frank awarded his first set
of CC's in 2007 and now are all on the Breed Council A1 List and also on the
Kennel Club list to award CC's in this country.
Both Margaret and Frank have awarded
tickets abroad and have made many friends along the way.
Frank and Margaret both sit on Midland
Counties Labrador Retriever Club, Frank is Membership Secretary and Margaret is
a committee member. Karl is Hon Secretary of the Cotswold and Wyevern Labrador
Retriever Club and is a committee member of Kent Surrey and Sussex Labrador
Retriever Club. We feel that after all the good times we have had and continuing
to have with our dogs, who all thought it was time to put something back into
the breed.
